Poor little Chloe just had surgerey the day before (I think) this photo was taken.
The bump on the top of her head is where they placed the valve for the shunt. Through that valve is a tube that goes into the ventricles of her brain, and the other side of the tube goes down the right side of her head (the left side in the picture), back behind her ear, and into her abdomen, where the cerebrospinal fluid is absorbed into her bloodstream.
She's kind of zoned out in this picutre. She wasn't too happy.
